Moulton has three Childrens’ Play Areas within the parish – Moulton Playing Fields in the centre of the community, Weaver Road Quiet Area in the southwest corner of the village and Britten Crescent play area on the new Weaver Grange housing estate.
Moulton Playing Fields
The largest play area within the parish, the playing fields in Moulton boasts a small car park, an enclosed childrens’ play area, a larger play area, a football pitch and a MUGA (a Multi Use Games Area) which is floodlit until 23:00 in the summer and 22:00 in the winter.
The space benefited from a six-figure investment in 2019/20 with a pair of bespoke pirate ships sited on the park. There are several pieces of outdoor gym equipment around the perimeter of the site, and adjacent to the hedge, and the area is served by CCTV.
The field is the site of the Moulton Crow Fair, an annual event within the village.
